Today I visited Artstation.
It was super good meeting up with Louise again the so soon after the initial meeting. Gotta keep on the beat. Such an amazing building! Really got a sense of commitment to doing the best job we can after going in and seeing the building, meeting a few members of the staff, checking out the current exhibition and seeing some of the art classes in action.
Had no idea that it used to be an old police barrack! Photography students really get the full historic experience.. the dark rooms are in the old cells. HEAVY iron doors, grates, bars.. one cell was even padded. creeepy! But so awesome at the same time, surely there aren’t too many darkrooms with that claim to fame?
Unfortunately for us with a few people away sick the work meeting was cancelled but it was still time very well spent because Louise had had a chance to give some feedback to her team about what we had talked about and we were able to get a secondary opinion on some of the things we had discussed.
We are all Skype buddies now so that will be really good for keeping up easy communication/driving each other all crazy.
Have set up a meeting with Vicky for next Tuesday evening, where we P and I are going to bring a draft brief and have some pro advice to refine it so it is nailed for Friday’s deadline. Then it’s all on!!
